My 6 year old who started piano at the beginning of the summer (not with me – you heard the rule, never hire family members to work for you? Well you also don’t give family members music lessons…I’ll teach yours but not mine.) Now that she’s back to school I’ve seen it have an effect on her school work. Last year I had many reports of how she couldn’t focus and stay on task. This year I get feedback a few times a week about how much she stays on task, listens and gets points for teamwork! Sharon Marrell has been teaching for over 40 years and has extensive experiences teaching all ages in a fun and creative way that fits the learning needs of the student.
She offers lessons primarily on Flute, Sax, Clarinet and Piano. Choosing to learn music as an adult is fun way to relax and create time for yourself that is gratifying. Younger students will find that private lessons allow them to advance quicker when it comes to seating positions in band, contest ratings and create more confidence.
She had thousands of students enjoying music throughout the 17 years she was the owner and a teacher at Lakewood Music Academy. Many enjoyed the experience of recitals including the adults presenting their talents at venues catering to the adult crowds.
